About Us

Alma Migrante is not just a name.
It is the story of a lifetime.

It is the story of Arnaldo and Angelina, who married in the 1960s and emigrated to Switzerland in search of a better life. Both children of farmers, raised during the difficult years of the Second World War, they had spent their youth working hard in the fields

They left with a dream in their hearts: to return. Like many others, they hoped to stay away only long enough to save sufficient money and build a home of their own. Instead, more than thirty years passed…
Years of sacrifice, away from family and, for a period, even from two of their three children.

But eventually Arnaldo and Angelina managed to realise their dream: in 1993 they returned to the house they had always imagined, surrounded by greenery, amongst the fragrance of roses cultivated by Angelina, the vegetables and citrus fruits tended by Arnaldo, and a piece of land where together they produced their wine and extra virgin olive oil.

They spent the following years peacefully and happily, finally reunited with their family and lifelong friends.
In 2005 Arnaldo left us, followed by Angelina in 2020.

Arnaldo e Angelina

Alma Migrante is dedicated first and foremost to them, to the strength and courage that drove them to face an unknown world, without ever losing sight of their return. But it is also a tribute to all migrant souls who, by choice or destiny, travel distant roads and seek a place where they feel welcomed. This is why Alma Migrante is much more than a name. It is the memory of those who departed. And it is the home of those who arrive.

Today, their three children take care of Alma Migrante bed&wine, lovingly carrying forward their parents’ dream.
